CRUISE OF THE POLL PARROT is a children's serial about diamonds, a volcano, a perilous jungle and two kids named Johnny and Sue on a whaling vessel. Poll Parrot himself, representing the shoe-company sponsor, appears as a character in the story, narrowly escaping getting shot.
