Beatrice
Fairfax, which includes
Olive Thomas's first screen role, is released on DVD and
production begins on a new version of The Mysteries of
Myra as well as the
restoration of its 1916 novel counterpart. The
Cliffhanger
Treasury presents
restored comic book stories based on serial
characters
2009:
The
Serialfest DVD Magazine begins publication, including chapters of
the long-lost Isle of Sunken
Gold, the
reconstructed The Voice from the
Sky and other
rarities. The Masked Rider
DVD series begins release.
Book versions of the lost serials The Trey
O'Hearts,
The Black
Box,
The Strange
Case of Mary Page and Under the
Crescent are released.
Dr. Grood's restoration of The Lone Ranger

January 1998:
Dr. Grood develops, designs
and posts The Serial
Squadron, first-ever
all-cliffhanger serial website, the name of which is coined
by his father R. W. Stedman
after Dr. Grood suggests that
it resemble the Captain Midnight Secret Squadron
club. Online chats
begin; chat room guests
include author Frank Thompson
and relatives of serial
players and stunt performers such as Tom Tyler
and Helen
Thurston.
January
1994-1999: Dr. Grood researches and acquires copies
of all known movie serials, assembling complete cast and
production staff lists from original film sources wherever
possible, and begins developing print publications intended
for release at an as-yet-unnamed website.
