Swords of Adventure
Swords of Adventure!
A sumptuous collection of 86 Stories and about 38 Hours of content

Dozens of period epics for fans of the sword and cape opera everywhere! Most of these tracks have been fully restored and commercials and filler removed from radio broadcasts. Lots of big stars in this collection -- Basil Rathbone, Leslie Howard, Ronald Colman and more. Of particular interest is a recording of Basil Rathbone as Robin Hood, not Sir Guy of Guisborne! The musical programs originated for the most part from The Railroad Hour and are excellent condensations of these operettas. "Popeye Meets Robin Hood" is quite funny and the "Knights of the Round Table" adaptation very dramatic and memorable. All for one and one for all!
